Communication and Assistive Technology study at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney needs people with MND

Liverpool Hospital in south west Sydney are looking for people with MND (motor neurone disease) to work together on a research project that is led by clinicians within the hospital and scientists across the University of Sydney, University of Technology Sydney and the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research. The aim is to test how quality of life might improve for someone who has MND when using Augmentative and Alternative Communication devices like tablets, eye gaze systems, environmental control units and much much more! This would be taking place over the next 12 months. If you join in this project you will need to complete surveys, interviews and will receive standard care by specialised occupational therapists and speech pathologists. You must have a definitive diagnosis of MND, be at least 18, live in the area and understand English. Please email or the contact number is 8738 4701. So much can be gained from these kinds of studies and we wish everyone involved all the best.
